Our business relationship and friendship with Bodegas Marques de Caceres family go back over 20 years.

Enrique Former the founder originally from Bordeaux and proprietor of a Gran Cru Classe Chateau Carnensas chose the best location in Rioja Alto an area renowned for its fine wines.

Our colleague Christopher Fielden launched Marques de Caceres in the UK and is now one of the most prestigious and leading Rioja when it comes to sales in the on-trade.

Cristina Forner now heads up the family company and today they celebrate their 40th birthday in Rioja, making a range of wines that are of the highest quality, gaining numerous awards for their innovation, unique style and sophistication.

The family tradition and profound knowledge of the regions viticulture enable Marques de Caceres to make wine of a personal well-defined style.

Whilst local tradition consists of an extensive agency in barrels, some of these extremely old, the Bodegas pioneered the use of the highest quality French Oak barrels, substituting the more traditional American oak used in Rioja

The Red wine range offers great concentration of fruit in perfect harmony with the delicate complexity and elegance.

The innovative spirit is also present in the rest of the range such as the Rose, a delicious combination of Tempranillo and Garnacha as well as the Whites made from Viura and Malvasia resulting in vibrant, fresh fruity wines that are exceptionally aromatic.
